The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving revenue targets, ensuring on time collections for the assigned product / business (for example, software products). The role holder is responsible for effective management of the sales funnel for the group of products/ business. Building and maintaining strong professional relationship with vendor and channel partner representatives is critical to the role.

Educational Qualification / Experience required

  • Engineering Graduate (CS / IT / EE preferred), with a full time MBA (Sales and Marketing specialization)
  • Experience of around 3 to 6 years in sales function in IT Distribution (preferred)
  • Should possess understanding of the sales, distribution and channel management process in the IT Distribution sector
  • Should possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Should be able to build strong relations with key stakeholders
  • Strong product knowledge of Software products (Sales Certification is preferred)

Redington India ltd Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving revenue targets (quarterly, annual) through effective sales funnel management for the assigned product/business
  • Manage relationships with vendor representatives for the assigned product / business                  
  • Manage relationships with channel partners for the assigned product / business and drive partner enablement programs
  • Drive on time collections from channel partners and ensure pay-outs to the channel partners are processed on time.
  • Responsible for MIS, reports generation, documentation and compliance for the assigned product / business
